David Marshall
Operations Manager
David Marshall is Operations Manager at Business Improv. David shifted into this expanded role after serving as a Business Improv Virtual Training Producer since 2020. While David has several years of experience in administration, he spends much of his time on stage and in rehearsal rooms as an actor and musician.
As a professional actor and singer, David has performed on stages and in concert halls around the world. David is a Grammy® Award-winning recording artist, having spent several years touring and recording with Chanticleer, a San Francisco-based a cappella vocal ensemble. David also ran away and joined the circus, for real. He was the 42nd Ringmaster of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, traveling around the United States and Canada and performing up to 13 shows per week.
David studied trumpet and voice at The Hartt School, University of Hartford and voice performance at The Manhattan School of Music. His hobbies include travel, learning languages, and playing instruments of all shapes and sizes including the recorder- that instrument children play in elementary school which is capable of so much more than Hot Cross Buns. A resident of New York City, David and his family can be found in parks, museums, theaters, restaurants, and baseball diamonds all around the city.
