Sean Monahan is an LA-based improvisational actor, marketing professional and core faculty instructor for Business Improvisations. A member of the nationally renowned Mission iMPROVable and the GM/Creative Director of Westside Corporate Creativity (a Business Improv subsidiary specializing in creative ideation and live/video production), he travels the country leading client projects that exist at the intersection of business and improvisation.
Sean’s been improvising since 1995, having trained at IO Chicago, The Second City and the Annoyance Theater. He also has 15+ years of experience in experiential marketing, creating programs for such companies as Kraft Foods, Jack Daniel’s, Nintendo, Tyson, BASF, SCJohnson and United Airlines. His cutting edge marketing programs have garnered him several industry awards, including Promo Magazine’s Pro Award, Event Marketer Magazine’s Ex Award, the Promotional Marketing Association’s Reggie Award and Yahoo!’s Big Idea Chair Award.
He can currently be found performing at M.i.’s Westside Comedy Theater (in Santa Monica, CA) several nights a week. In addition to a wide array of corporate clients, Sean has facilitated Business Improvisations programs for Duke Fuqua, UCLA Anderson and Columbia University B-Schools.
